I’m going to apologize ahead of time, this post will short due to the fact that this week was rather uneventful! I’ve finally gotten into the groove of classes, and I’ve been so busy.
This week has been an awesome reading week! I finished the audiobook of Bo Burnham’s Egghead and I also finished Lyn Hejinian’s book The Cell. I have wanted to read Bo Burnham’s book since it came out, but whenever I visited Barnes & Noble I could never justify buying it! I literally stumbled across The Cell in the library when I was leaving to go to the gym, and I’m so glad I picked it up. I’m not a huge fan of poetry, but this book got me on a poetry kick. I recently checked out The Collected Poems of Wilfred Owen and The Collected Poems of Anne Sexton from the library the other day and so far I’m loving both of them! I plan on finishing An Ember in the Ashes this weekend and getting further into Outlander, but we’ll see if I can manage to do so between the massive amounts of reading I have to do for class.
So, the most exciting thing that happened this week was that I went to my first KPOP concert! Well, it was a fanmeet but they still performed all of their comeback hits. My suitemate and I went to GOT7’s Flight Log: TURBULENCE in D.C. on Sunday, and let me tell you, it was amazing. We decided to get P2 tickets which meant that we were guaranteed a Hi-Touch spot! I’m still in shock that I got stand less than a foot away from my favorite group. It was one of the best nights of my life to-date and I can’t wait to go to another concert soon!
Riding has been going well this week, too. I’m finally getting my leg strength back and thankfully I’m not as sore as I used to be. I started going to the gym after classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and I feel great! I guess this means that I’m one of those people who actually enjoys the gym now? Ugh. Anyway, today we jumped courses and since this was my first time jumping in 5 years I did 1 or 2 jumps out of the whole course. The horse I was riding was a bit stubborn but after lots of persistence I got him to listen to me. Being around horses brings back so many good memories, and I’m glad I decided to stick with riding.
I hope you all enjoyed this week’s Tell Me About It Thursday! Please let me know what you think in the comments below, I’m always open to constructive criticism!
